Trials Officer
Supacat Ltd wishes to employ an additional Trials Officer. Based at our main offices in Dunkeswell you will report to the Trials and Development Manager. The main purpose of the Trials Officer role is to plan, conduct and accurately record all trials activities. Forming part of the Trials and Development Team, the Trials Officer will be responsible for publishing important trials information within Supacat and where necessary to Supacat's customers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Graduate level education or experience of automotive or military trials environment
-Above average knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project
-Working Knowledge of other IT systems
-Good Communication and negotiating skills
-Organisational and administrative skills

Project Manager
Supacat Ltd wishes to employ a Project Manager. Based at our main offices in Dunkeswell, you will report to the Programme Manager. The main purpose of this role is to pursue, acquire and deliver contract opportunities in ‘core' and diversification markets in line with the business plan. Close liaison and co-ordination with the relevant operational functions within the business will ensure consistency and continuity of the proposition over the entire project lifecycle.
The role will:
-Ensure pre-contract activities deliver a sound business proposition for clients and the Company;
-Ensure that all deliverables are presented professionally, in accordance with client and company equirements, delivered on time and created within the resources allocated;
-Manage and negotiate the transition of contracts and delivery projects;
-Provide assistance to the Business Development function where applicable.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Extensive experience of delivering every phase of complex contracts including prospecting, bidding and project/ contract management using established principles and best practices;
-Well developed organisation and people management skills;
-Possess a technical background preferably in the defence, automotive or engineering sectors;
-Have a working knowledge of business management & administration and practice risk management techniques;
-Well developed communication (verbal & written) and analytical skills;
-Be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications including Project.

Purchasing Manager
Supacat requires an experienced and proactive Purchasing Manager who is able to
provide strategic and effective control of relationships with its long term and newly
established supplier base.
The Purchasing Manager will run a small but pivotal Purchasing Office which handles
a significant proportion of the company's annual business costs. The successful
applicant will have:
-proven experience working at a similar level;
-previous line management responsibility of a purchasing team;
-experience of setting up long term, robust relationships with UK and overseas suppliers;
-experience of effective product cost reduction programmes and commercial issues;
-Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards.
-This position requires self-motivation and an ability to inspire confidence in expanding the knowledge of the purchasing team.
