Temporary Mechanical Technicians

This is a temporary position initially for 4 months.

Wanted -  Fully skilled mechanics preferably with commercial vehicle experience, to assist in the repair, maintenance and diagnostic activities as tasked by the Workshop Manager, primarily in the support of company and other products.

It would be advantageous if the person has experience in working on military or off road vehicles. An NVQ in Motor Vehicle repairs is desirable, although experience will be taken into consideration.

Pay negotiable.

ILS Engineer

An ILS Engineer is required to influence, design and develop existing and future platforms for ease of support, and to lead in the execution of ILS programmes and plans. Supporting the ILS Manager in requirement setting, specification, design, development, procurement and fielding of support solutions as well as the conduct of Logistics Support Analysis.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• formal engineering qualifications to at least HNC or equivalent;
• good working knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support;
• good understanding of providing equipment support to military vehicle systems;
• good understanding of the requirements of an ILS Engineer / Manager in Defence Acquisition;
• working knowledge of MOD acquisition and Defence Standards;
• working knowledge of MS Office applications;
• good communication and resource management skills.

 

Salary: Circa £30 - £35k

Reliability and Maintainability Design Engineer

A Reliability and Maintainability Design Engineer is sought to influence design and development of existing and future platforms for Reliability and Maintainability, to conduct R & M analysis, tests and trials using recognised techniques, and provide documentary evidence of likely and proven R & M performance (in accordance with Defence Standards). A fully integrated member of the Design Team, interfacing with Design, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Trials and Safety functions.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• engineering qualifications to degree level or similar;
• professional / Chartered Engineer status, or potential to achieve;
• Reliability and Maintainability qualifications;
• good knowledge of Automotive Engineering and systems;
• working knowledge of MOD acquisition and Defence Standards (00-40 and 00-42);
• working knowledge of R & M modelling software and MS Office applications;
• good communication and resource management skills.

 

Salary: £30 - £35k

Fabricator - Sheet Metal Worker

Temporary position - approximately four months.

Must be capable of working to Engineering Drawings, be a team player as well as working on their own initiative.

C.N.C. experience essential - Press brake and Plasma Profiler.

Working on Prototypes / Small Batch Work.
