ABOUT US
- Where are we now?
- Where are we going?
The current focus of the business is in three distinct areas:
- The unwavering support and ongoing development of our existing fleet of vehicles that are in service around the world.
- The launch of our new vehicle, the Supacat Protected Vehicle (SPV) 400 series. This is a very exciting development that offers significantly greater protection than on other vehicles of a similar size.
- The identification and development of new outlets for our innovative engineering design and development skills, such as mineral exploration and offshore renewable energy.
The SPV400 is the next generation of Supacat's long pedigree of developing relevant and effective military vehicles. It will give soldiers what they need for 21st century operations: superior mobility and protection. Following the successful launch of the patrol variant prototypes in 2010, the SPV400 concept is now being expanded to include other role variants such as logistic, ambulance, command and weapons-mounted alternatives.
Additionally, the RNLI has contracted us to develop the prototype LLRS into a pre-production variant for further trialling. We hope to use this as a base to be the organisation's production and support partner.
In the medium and longer term, Supacat is:
- Continuing to grow from its strong financial base.
- Committed to a long-term relationship with the UK MoD.
- Continuing to invest in the development of innovative solutions to remain at the forefront of off-road vehicle performance.
- Seeking to invest further in the export markets.
- Looking forward to an international fleet of over 1,000 in-service Supacat platforms by the end of 2011.
- Working on an innovative and integrated through-life support strategy to optimise support for our customers worldwide.
- Exploring other avenues where our innovative engineering skills can be used by identifying and working with partners to develop our joint capabilities, for example in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
