ILS is an established engineering discipline that permeates through all that Supacat does in support of its customers, and is accepted world-wide as the design tool for developing support solutions for the use of high-value or complex products with an extended life-cycle.

At the outset of the design process, significant thought is given to how the end result - the product - will perform when used by the customer, and what support services will be needed to enable the customer to continue to use the product most efficiently throughout its expected service life.

The associated issues, whether they be related to spares usage, operator or maintenance training, technical publications, obsolescence, or disposal are all examined during the design phase of a project and encapsulated under the heading of ILS. ILS and the Logistic Support Analysis that forms an element of it is an inherent part of all that Supacat delivers to its customers. In the military environment, ILS is governed by Defence Standard 00-06, which is used by the company to structure its support service.
